Trek Overview

Mardi is the name of the ridge on the south westerly slop of Machhapuchhre . Mountain Machhapuchhre also commonly known as Fishtail Mountain because that mirrors the image of a fish tail and is very beautiful and seared mountain of Nepal.

The ridge here leads to a high camp located at 3610m where a second consecutive afternoon is spent for Acclimatation with the views of Annapurna south and Machhapuchhre .The trail climbs to a rhododendron forest and passes a sign bidding you farewell to the Mardi Trek.

All around you right from Dhaulagiri to the Ganesha Himal stretches a dozen or more spectacular mountains with Annapurna I am being the highest of them all. The entire region from phedi on the valley floor to the top of the hill is commonly known as Mardi Himal. The main part is Dampus village which is one of the tops of the ridge more than 500m above starting at an elevation of (1650m).

The trail takes a couple of right branches and climbs through forests to a pass with views of the Mardi Kola far below before descending to Three Lodge at Deurali (2100m). Order a cup of tea and savor the fine views of Annapurna South and Hiun Chuli to the north and Pokhara and Phew Tal to the southeast make a steep descent through forests that are alive with birds, ferns and orchids into huge.

Day 1:

Arrival at Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal. You will be transferred to your hotel where you can rest and prepare for the trek ahead. You may also explore the city, if time allows.

Day 2:

Tourist Bus Drive to Pokhara and Jeep Drive to Dampus

After breakfast, travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus. Upon reaching Pokhara, take a jeep ride to Dampus (1700m) to begin your trek. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings and settle in for an overnight stay at a lodge.

Day 3:

Trek Dampus to Forest Camp

Begin your trek from Dampus, passing through lush rhododendron forests and local villages. The climb takes you to Forest Camp, where you’ll enjoy magnificent views of the Annapurna Range.

Trek Forest Camp to High Camp

Trek through more rhododendron forests, ascending towards High Camp. The views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain) and the Annapurna peaks become more impressive as you gain altitude.

Trek High Camp to 14 Mountains Peak Viewpoint

Enjoy a trek to the 14 Mountains Peak Viewpoint at 4,400m. This day offers spectacular panoramic views of several Himalayan peaks, including Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre. Return to High Camp for another night.

Trek High Camp to Sidhing

Descend from High Camp to Sidhing, passing through lush forests and local settlements. Sidhing offers a peaceful atmosphere for an overnight stay in a lodge.

7-hour Drive from Sidhing to Kathmandu

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu. The 7-hour scenic drive offers views of the mountains and countryside before you arrive back in the city for your overnight stay.
