Trek Overview
The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a short trek in the renowned Annapurna region. The trek’s primary highlight is the chance to explore the beautiful villages of the Pokhara valley and hike to the famous Poon Hill station. The hill offers breathtaking Himalayan views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain ranges.
Ghorepani, an ethnic Gurung village, is known for its rich culture and hospitality. This trek is a popular alternative to the Annapurna Base Camp Trek and leads to the northern part of the Pokhara valley, which is the starting point of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
From Pokhara, you will drive to Ulleri, the trek’s starting point. Once in Ghorepani village, you’ll ascend to Poon Hill for stunning sunset and sunrise views over the mountains. You will then descend to Tadapani, continue on to Landruk village, and complete your trek at Dampus before returning to Pokhara for rest.
