Trek Overview

Chulu Far East Peak Climbing is a classic Himalayan mountaineering adventure located in the spectacular Annapurna region of Nepal. Rising to an altitude of 6,059 meters, Chulu Far East is one of the most popular trekking peaks in the Annapurna range and offers climbers a perfect balance of trekking, culture, and technical climbing. The journey passes through traditional Gurung villages, dense forests, high alpine pastures, and glacial valleys before reaching the remote climbing areas.

The expedition follows the famous Annapurna Circuit trail before branching off toward Chulu Far East Base Camp. The climb involves glacier travel, snow slopes, and the use of fixed ropes near the summit, making it moderately technical. From the summit, climbers are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, Manaslu, and Dhaulagiri. This peak is ideal for climbers with prior high-altitude trekking experience who want to step into serious mountaineering in the Annapurna region.
