Trek Overview
Annapurna Circuit Trek has long been considered as one of the world greed like all the best journeys. The trek reveals itself gradually as it climbs through subtropical jungle to a Tibetan influenced valley and then over the high Throng La pass to the Kali Gandaki valley, a desert like Trans Himalayan region that was once a vital trade corridor to Tibet. Although road construction has affected the treks, the side trips that line the circuit rank among Nepalese. Most spectacular there is a round from Beni and Nayapul. Jomsom spent walking on the road.
The trek real appeal of this lies paddies and climbs through the deep gorge of the Marsyangdi before swinging west into the arid manning region with its awesome views of the north side of the Annapurna. The cultural mix takes in Gurung, Manang and Thakali communities and their traditional stone walled village, Tibetan style monasteries and animist totems.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need prior trekking experience for the Annapurna Circuit Trek?
While previous trekking experience is helpful, it’s not mandatory for the Annapurna Circuit Trek. The trek is considered moderate to challenging, and anyone with a reasonable level of fitness can attempt it. However, we highly recommend preparing for the trek by practicing hiking, especially uphill, and getting accustomed to walking with a backpack before the trip.
Is altitude sickness a concern on the Annapurna Circuit Trek?
Yes, altitude sickness is a potential risk on any high-altitude trek, and the Annapurna Circuit is no exception. However, the trek has been designed with acclimatization days (such as the one in Manang) to help trekkers adjust to higher altitudes. We recommend trekking at a steady pace, staying hydrated, and listening to your guide for advice on managing altitude.
Do I need a guide or can I trek independently?
While it is possible to trek independently on the Annapurna Circuit, hiring a guide is highly recommended for several reasons. A guide ensures your safety, provides valuable insights about the culture and environment, and can help navigate the route, especially in remote areas. Additionally, a guide can assist in dealing with any altitude sickness or emergencies.
